Statement
日本の住宅地の中の風景を描いています。
道を歩いていると、時々驚くほど美しい風景に出会います。
そんなときはとてもワクワクし、自分の心まで美しくなったように
感じます。古い日本的な家や庭、駐車場に生えた雑草、小学校のプールなど、様々なものを今までに描いてきました。私の心を強く掴んでくる風景の、その素晴らしさを尊敬しています。
画材は主に鉛筆を使用しています。
鉛筆は美大生の頃から使い始めました。少し青みがかった色、質感、
こすった感じ、消え残る様子などがとても好きです。
不器用なのに細部をしっかりと描きたいという欲求も満たしてくれます。
そしてどの画材で描くよりも、鉛筆は私の心にしっくりと馴染みます。
それは私の生まれ育ったところが、灰色のコンクリートが主な構成要素の
「都会」だということと、私の内面の両方を映し出しているようです。
当たり前のように「線画」を選んだのは、おそらく子供の頃から接して来た
漫画やアニメの影響です。
自分の作品と自分自身がぴたりと寄り添っていると感じられるように、
澄んだ心で描き続けていくことが大切だと思います。
長く続けていきたいです。

I draw landscapes of residential neighborhoods in Japan.
I love the environment surrounding me and I praise the good atmosphere of people’s life.
Neighborhood landscapes sometimes show me beauty beyond my expectation. I draw fields, gardens and kitchen gardens in which I see their owner’s joy, sometimes I just draw wild grasses growing in the city, weeds that I see in parking lots; they can be breathtakingly beautiful. I also draw houses in which their owners seems to have lived happily for a long time.
I draw mainly with a pencil.
I started drawing with a pencil when I was in art university.
I really like the little bluish color, texture, rubbed shades, and fading out touch. Despite my clumsiness, I want to draw the details. Drawing with a pencil satisfies my desire.
Their colors and texture reflect my personality on a paper. They can express the feelings like calm, simple, and a little dark, but shining silently.
And probably it reflects the environment that I was born and grew up, the city mainly composed of gray concrete.
I intuitively chose line drawing. I am influenced by the comic books and animated cartoons that I enjoyed in my childhood.
It is important to continue drawing with a pure heart so that I can feel close to my work.
I want to continue drawing for a long time.
